Cross-play is certainly a hot topic right now in the gaming community, especially after Microsoft and Nintendo teamed up to throw shade at Sony amid the Fortnite account controversy. While Darrah has said that there are no plans for cross-play launch, there is currently no word on if cross-play may come to the game at a later date.

While players may not be able to play with friends on different platforms, BioWare is actively looking into the possibility of cross-platform saves so players can switch platforms if they so choose. This would be a step in the right direction for cross-play, though obviously not as good as the real thing. It would also require console developers to play nice with each other so accounts aren’t locked to one console.

Darrah is still answering many questions on his Twitter account, including details about the Javelin system within the game. Fans have been dying to learn more about the class-like system of mech suits available in Anthem. Darrah did confirm that all suits will be earned through story missions, and fans get to pick the order in which they earn them. He also confirmed that loot will primarily drop for the currently-equipped Javelin, however there is a chance that loot will also drop for the other Javelin suits.

Anthem is currently scheduled to release on February 22, 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
