Like any comic book property, easter eggs belong within the foundation. It’s a great way to tease future projects or even to pay homage to the genre that has changed the course of blockbusters. There are plenty of easter eggs in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania trailer, with many being quite hard to spot, considering the Quantum realm is rather small.
7 Chronopolis
As the titular characters arrive in the Quantum realm, they are introduced to Chronopolis. Although they are visually different, there are a few similarities between this location and the one featured in the comic books. Chronopolis is home to Kang the Conqueror, and where he rules over the many different cultures and societies across his expanding life.
This circular city features many grand architecture choices, and as a longtime home base to Kang the Conqueror, it’s safe to say that Ant-Man and the Wasp are perhaps a little out of the ordinary here as they prepare themselves for the incoming Avengers-level threat.
6 Cassie Lang, Stinger
One of the characters in the trailer is Cassie Lang, the daughter of Scott Lang. Cassie has played a big part in all the Ant-Man films and has been vital for Scott Lang’s morality. The scenes between this father and daughter are beautiful, with plenty of comedy along the way. However, after the Blip, Cassie Lang is significantly older and is set to debut as another MCU superhero.
Cassie Lang will become Stinger, as seen by her new super suit in the trailer, as she prepares for battle alongside her father, Ant-Man, and step-mom, the Wasp. Cassie has played an important role in the comics, and now she will be an integral part of the MCU’s new age of superheroes.
5 Janet Van Dyne’s Haircut
Although on the surface, it may just look like Janet Van Dyne has gotten a fashionable new haircut to further her ideals of fashion in the celebrity lifestyle, it’s more in line with the comics than one might initially realize. Janet Van Dyne’s haircut is taken straight from the Marvel Comic pages.

Considering Janet is more fashion-conscious in the comics, this may be the MCU’s way of letting Janet become less no-nonsense and letting her hair down a bit. Literally. Her new haircut further symbolizes just how comic-accurate the MCU has gotten with its most recent entries.
4 Bill Murray Is Krylar
Comedy actor legend Bill Murray makes his MCU debut with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Bill Murray has not been officially confirmed as a character, but a few interviews may have slipped that he is playing a character from Marvel Comics named Krylar and a villain at that.
There isn’t a lot of history with Krylar, so it wouldn’t be doubtful if the characters resemble in name only. Bill Murray is known for his humor, so it wouldn’t be surprising if the MCU just lets Murray roll with whatever he wants to do.
3 Comic Accurate Kang
When audiences tuned in every week for Disney Plus’ Loki series, many did not anticipate the reveal of Johnathan Majors as Kang. Kang’s attire had a similar color scheme to his comic counterpart, but he provided the Lokis with the information that he was just a variant. When it comes to Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, the big bad is revealed, and Kang makes his debut in his comic book glory.
Kang wears his purple and green colors with pride, complete with his belt and blue face. However, the blue face in the MCU is just a defensive shield, but it’s still so great to see the MCU embrace the wild side of the comic books and strive for accuracy on every front.
2 Kang’s Army
One of the more unsettling aspects of the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania trailer is the reveal of Kang’s army. There are thousands of soldiers, all prepared for war and all with unique and interesting ship designs. It begs the question of where they are going or what they are planning to do.
In the comics, Kang is called the conqueror for a very good reason; he is a conqueror of entire worlds. When he got bored of this, he decided to conquer the entire timeline. Perhaps Kang and his army are trying to utilize time travel for that very reason.
1 The Quantum Realm
There is a greater unknown than the cosmic universe in the Marvel Universe, and that is known as the Quantum Realm. This location is unique to the MCU but takes inspiration from the Microverse and the Negative Zone; both are mysterious locations in Marvel Comics. However, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania promises the return of the Quantum Realm, with plenty of dangers ahead.
Despite making appearances and references in over four MCU entries, the Quantum Realm is still relatively unknown to audiences. Who knows what is lurking under the microscope of the Quantum Realm? After all, the characters used it for time travel, so what awaits it next?
Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania lands in theaters in 2023.
